Hi all, just back from the ranfurly and again the place is still producing the goods in the way of big bass, puka and kingfish
. The kingi's are still ok but the edge has gone off just a little, with us having to work harder to find consistent fishing, best kingi went 36kg and second best 33kg so not all doom and gloom for sure. Best bass went 38kg and the best puka 35kg, water temps keep on rising and are holding at a strong 19c will we see pelagic's before Christmas ? here's hopeing we do that would be a great Xmas pressy. till next week cheers lance .

white island
Hi all well white island is starting to show signs of some consistent kingi fishing at long last. Fanus Grous and a few of his Aussy mates had a hot bite with all the boys keeping 1 for the table and letting lots go to fight another day. In fact it was properly the best bite of the season with many fish in the high 20's and one in the 30's, let's hope this is a start to a good run. Well done guy's. cheers Lance Sunday, December 11, 2011
WHITE ISLAND
Hi all white isla
nd at the moment is a game of two half's, on the right day it's smiles all round with the kingi's biting well, on the wrong day it's what the heck are we doing here with you not even able to buy a bite, latest trip was Glenn Jennings and his mates with day 1 hot fishing both on kingis and pukas, day 2 hardly a show with only 1 kingi caught lucky it was a 48hr trip and not a 24hr. Below Glenn's 26kg kingi

White island fires up
Hi all well it had to happen, white has finally fired up with some constant kingi fishing last couple of trips the boys from General cable and Iplex found a hot bite at the smokey ile best going a respectable 27kg. The big mover and proberly the reason for the bite was water temps shooting up and over 20c. Has been a late start to good kingi fishing at white but as they say better late than never, now it's watch this space for the start of the game season roll on summer
. till next week cheers Lance.

White Island
Hi all first report from white, and all is ok at the smokey ile. Andy Crake
and his mates had a good time pulling some white island pukas out of 240mtrs. Kingi's should be biting like mad as they are about to spawn but we found them to be fairly hard work, the boy's stuck at it and were rewarded with some in the 18kg-20kg bracket, they will fire up as the water warms so watch this space. Temps are starting to get up to 18c and then it will be game on for kingi's and billfish alike roll on summer. till next week cheers Lance
