Hi all, Just returned from the kings and all is good. The Auckland Lady anglers and few blokes had a great trip with 4 striped marlin 3 tagged 1 kept for the smoker, best kingi 34kg and best bass 38kg. till next week Lance.

Hi All, Enchanter has just returned from Three Kings and is now based out of Mangonui in the Far North. Chris Wong and his band of merry jigging men joined us on the first Kings trip of the season. What a fantastic trip had by all. Kingis fired brillantly with many fish over 30kg and Brad Burden from Auckland doing especially well landing 39kg kingfish. Brad seemed to be on a roll also landing a 45kg Bass and topping it off with a est 160kg broadbill! The marlin also seemed to be firing well with one tagged by Roy and Chris landing one that taped out to est 107kg. If this the start to the season at the Kings we cant wait to see whats instore....

Hi all, Just done a overnight trip to white targeting the kingis, Best one 32kg went to auckland angler nathan woland, with his mates not far behide at 26,23, being the top three. Great to see at this time of year when we expect them to be tailing off. Cheers Lance

ranfurly banks

Hi all, The ranfurly just keeps on turning out great bass trip after trip, Latest in a good run was david jewel from auckland with a 68kg monster and second runner up was at 66kg. Kingis still biting well with baits out fishing jigs at the moment, no real monsters but nice fish up to 26kg , A few big bluenose on the deeper reefs are a good site for those dropping baits to 300mtrs, long wind up but great eating. all in all great fishing, well one more ranfurly trip till we head for the three kings. till next week cheers Lance

Hi all wow what a week is all i can say, last month we were wondering what had happened to the big hapuka and bass, well i can tell you they were waiting for Terry Price to go fishing. Terry fishing ranfurly banks lands a 73.4kg bass the biggest we have seen this year, told him so and on the very next drift Terry hooks a fish and says I think this ones bigger, sure enough up pops a bass that makes the 73.4kg one look small, pulling the scales down to 86.2kg at the whakatane weigh station and pending world record. well done Terry !!

ranfurly banks

Sipilianos marlinHi all, fishing remains good to great on all fronts, we are still having kingis 20-25 kg with the odd one to 30kg thrown in to keep punters on there toes, Puka fishing has picked up a little from last week with a few nice bass showing up, best went to john constable of browns bay fishing club with a respectable 38kg. As stated in last weeks report trolling prospects are good with sipiliano ah-voa of the fishheads fishing club coming up trumps with his first marlin well done to them both. We havent a lot to complain about at the moment long may it last , so till next week cheers Lance.
